The Multi-City Survey of Social Service Providers (MSSSP) was supported with grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Urban Scholars Program, the Richard B. Salomon Faculty Research Program at Brown University, the Metropolitan Policy Program at The Brookings Institution, and the Brown University Undergraduate Teaching and Research Assistantship (UTRA) Program.

The Rural Survey of Social Service Providers (RSSSP) was supported with grants from the University of Kentucky Poverty Research Center (UKCPR), the RUPRI Rural Poverty Research Center, the West Coast Poverty Center, and the Brown University Undergraduate Teaching and Research Assistantship (UTRA) Program.

Each survey project also received support from the Taubman Center for Public Policy, the Department of Political Science, and the John Hazen White Public Opinion Laboratory at Brown University, as well as the National Poverty Center at the University of Michigan.
